Arcana Botanica Spirits was slow-birthed in the late twenty teens in Burlington, Vermont, US. We craft naturally produced, botanically forward herbal liqueurs . Our alchemy is inspired by traditional European herbal liqueurs, yet our products also have distinctiveness in their respective categories.

Fernet Vexia: Vermont’s spiritual descendant of traditional fernet. This highly aromatic, bittersweet amaro is inspired by the Italian original and shaped by majickal, locally grown botanicals.

Bright and complex, created with over twenty herbs including mint, chamomile, cocoa nib and saffron; Vexia uniquely captures the dark and woodsy essence of Vermont while paying homage to fernet’s sunnier ancestral home. 

Fernet is an alchemical folk remedy used for the prevention and cure of hangovers, and also commonly enjoyed as a digestive aid after a satisfying meal.

Vexia is best enjoyed neat or over ice, with friends and loved ones, in the clearing of a dark wood, possessed by the light of the moon. 

(Sediment will be present in this all natural, lightly filtered spirit; to ensure optimal flavor in each pour please vigorously swirl the bottle counter-clockwise seven times before serving.)

Our Collaborators: Our spirits are produced at Wild Hart Distillery in Shelburne, Vermont. We source many of our sustainably produced herbs from Hallow Herb Farm in the Intervale in Burlington, Vermont. Our logo was designed by local illustrator Portia Wassick.
